Started in 2007 by Michael and Patricia West and joined by friends Leslie Messick and Paul Baumbach in 2019 the vineyard, tasting room, and llama farm are nestled on 91 serene acres of rolling hills in the Yadkin Valley Appellation in North Carolina. Nationally recognized for a wide variety of award winning wines, beautiful scenery, the largest llama farm in the Southeast, and a unique and memorable experience. We look forward to sharing it with you.
LLAMA TREKkING
Llamas are the perfect hiking partner. They have low impact on the trails, are super friendly and great conversationalists! The treks are about 2 miles long wandering over rolling hills and following along Miller Creek. We take a water break about half way beside the creek. This provides a perfect spot for pictures with your llama while feeding them treats. We trek most Saturdays and Sundays in the Spring, Fall and Winter. Reservations must be made ahead of time and there are limited spaces available. All individuals going on a Llama Trek must be at least 10 years of age.
Treks begin and end near the wine tasting facility where you can complete the trek experience with a bottle of wine.
Our wines
The vines were planted in Spring 2007. Currently four grape varieties are planted (Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonel, and Traminette) and eleven wines are offered. Wines include five dry reds and whites, two semi dry reds and whites, a sweeter white, a sweeter rose, a semi sweet white blended with peach, a semi sweet red blended with blackberry.
